Multipoint Centre Cases/Gearboxes

Multipoint centre cases and gearboxes refer to a type of lock and the material of which a door is made.

Firstly, UPVC is the white plastic polymer used in most modern building for doors and windows. These doors usually have multipoint locks fitted. They run the entire length of the door and have multiple lock points, or gearboxes. Due to this they are very secure. The centre case is the large box in which the lock cylinder sits.

Multipoints & UPVC are commonly found fitted together. For the reason that both are affordable and secure.
